Neither I nor my brother have been back since...Maybe two years, or one. Not sure... but it has been a while. They can do without my business and survive, so they won't care to make anything right.
My brother was on an errand for me about a year ago... and using my debit card, per my instructions. One of their VERY grumpy cashiers with some kind of disability decided she would add a donation to the card without asking, by reaching over and pressing "yes" on the card terminal.
Piggly wiggly in Mccalla is my favorite grocery store. The staff is very nice.
My brother said to take it off, and it was a big hullaballoo. I contacted the manager, and it was the same assistant manager.... and he pretty much ignored the issue. So, I had my bank kill the card off, and get a new one, and reversed it.
Great alternative to the conventional grocery store. Good selection of most everything I was looking for. The difference here is the pricing. They advertise that their prices are 10% above cost. Some things were not as cheap as I would like to have found, for instance a certain brand of tea available was about 20 cents higher than at another larger retail chain. However, on the day I visited this store the ground beef was only 99cents a pound. Which I think is a very good price. Another purchase I made was for the product Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar (with the Mother). Usually I purchase this product elsewhere for over $5 to $6. But Piggly Wiggly had the same product size and all for less than $4. Those are just a few examples but generally speaking if you are not concerned with a flashy interior design or grand shopping experience. Then this might be the place for you.
Nice bright and inviting...if you can't find it here you probably won't find it
